Lim hired Tony..Part 5...Operation Rescue

Tony managed to pin point the place that housed Steve on the island of Batam.  Now Tony & Co sat down and planned the rescue operation to save Steve without any police involvement.
It was a day later that Tony, TG and Angel surrounded the house that Steve was kept. There was only 2 captors in the house.

An explosive was used to distract the captors. They were caught by surprise when the explosion occurred. Both ran out of the house to see what was happening. It was at this split second that Angel seized the opportunity to run into the house to free Steve. Outside, Tony and TG handled the 2 captors.  They opened fire at Tony and TG but the bullets from their revolvers missed the 2 PIs.
Tony and TG opened fire in self defence and killed the 2 captors.
They took Steve in their Land Rover and drove off to their high speed boat which was anchored at the shore less than a 20 minute drive away.

In less than one and the half hour, Tony,TG, Angel and Steve were back in Lim's house. The rescue operation was a success. Steve was unhurt and Lim's personal doctor was summoned to give Steve a thorough medical checkup. All went well without the police or press knowledge.

Next morning, Lim transferred a cool S$1 million into Tony's company's bank account.

In less than a month, Lim managed to sell his house to a foreign buyer at the price of $50 million.

The story continues......

The House that Lim sold and "IKA" was found!

The Japanese buyer of Lim's house was Hideki, a businessman who had recently set up his construction business in Singapore. Soon after Hideki bought Lim's bungalow, he got his construction company to renovate it. It was an extensive renovation, almost to the point of demolishing and rebuilding it again.
The outside of the huge house with its big compound was barricaded with high wooden walls as if to block passersby from seeing it.

There was something that's fishy with the whole "renovation" thing that was going on with the Lim's former house. Many signs were put outside the house that warned of dangers to the public. Signs like "danger", "do not enter", "trespassers will be prosecuted" etc.

Lim called Tony and informed him of the situation. Lim was curious and hired Tony again to investigate the activities that was going on with his former house. Tony was asked to investigate the background of Hideki, the buyer of Lim's house.

The "renovation" was carried out in such a manner as not to arouse suspicion from the neighbours. It was authorised to carry out the work only during the day and no work should be done after 5 pm and on weekends and public holidays.

Tony and his team was assigned to find out the activities that was carried out in and around the house. It took Tony a week to discover that Hideki's men were digging the ground of the compound
for something that must have been seriously valuable and important.
There were excavators, cranes and many other construction equipments used for the project.
From Tony's sophisticated spy satellite equipments, Tony concluded that Hideki was looking for some kind of treasures.

Tony and his team spent the next few days going through the museum archives, history and old maps to establish the things that were buried in the compound of that Nassim Road house.

Angel spoke fluent Japanese and was placed in charge of eavesdropping into the conversation between Hideki and a man in Japan via their mobile phones (using "Tony Scan"). They spoke in Japanese and the subject was about something code-named " IKA". It was something very valuable and historical according to Angel.

After a week of eavesdropping into their conversations, Angel finally heard that IKA was actually Yamashita's Gold. It was found in the compound of the Nassim Rd house.

Yamashita's Gold was a treasure of gold, diamonds, precious stones etc., looted from the South East Asian banks, wealthy British and Chinese homes and museums by the occupying Japanese Imperial Army during World War 2. The treasure was named after the Japanese Army's chief General Yamashita.
The bulk of the treasure was transferred just before the fall of the Japanese forces to the Philippines. It was known to be hidden in caves and buried underground in the jungle of the Philippines.

The amount of gold and other precious gems buried in Nassim Road was just a fraction of the one that was shipped to the Philippines. Nonetheless, albeit small, the treasure was estimated to be of USD 100 billions in today's value. The ones in the Philippines are known to be worth trillions of dollars.

There was so much excitement not only in Hideki's camp but in Tony's too. The loot was to be flown out of Singapore to Japan in the next few nights. A small jet would fly in from Japan to transport the treasure from Seletar Airbase to the island of Okinawa, 7 hours flying time away.

One quiet moonless night, a black  BMW 7-series and three Toyota Hiace vans left the vicinity of a house in Nassim Road. Hideki and two men in the BMW led the small column of three Toyota vans. It was just passed 2 am and the roads were void of heavy traffic.
Tony, Angel and TG followed them from a distance in a inconspicuous 2,000 cc Honda Accord.

Halfway through the journey to Seletar, just around a bend, the Honda Accord swerved into the path of the last van. It came to a screeching halt. Tony and company jumped out of their car, pulled the driver of the van out and knocked him unconscious with a powerful TG's punch.

Hideki realised what had happened. It was an ambush but fortunately not by the police. Together with the other two vans, they drove at a tremendous speed to Seletar Airbase, sacrificing the last van and 1/3 of the loot which fell into Tony's hand.

Tony and his team was contented seizing only a third of the treasure. They did not have the manpower to apprehend Hideki, his men and the other larger part of the treasure.

They reported the matter to Lim and was summoned to his new house at Bukit Timah Road.

It was almost 4 am when Tony,Angel and TG reached Lim's place. According to Lim, the treasure which they had was worth around USD 35 billion.
There was much celebration and Lim promised Tony that the treasure will be returned to their respective owners or their descendants.

Tony and company was paid a handsome $5 million for the job.

Yamashita's Treasure Part 1

This text message was sent to Tony warning him not to take up the case on "Yamashita's Treasure" or his associate Angel who is in captivity will be executed by the notorious gang "08".

Tony was hired by someone to find part of the Yamashita's treasure which was kept by Tony's former  client Mr Lim. The treasure was worth $33 billions and Lim never returned to its rightful owners as promised to Tony.

Lim was greedy and decided to keep the treasure to himself. Tony's new client Burt came to know how Tony had helped Lim got his son back from the kidnappers and the subsequent discovery of the Yamashita's treasure. Burt showed Tony the receipts and documents his grand father had kept in the family safe to prove that Burt's family was the rightful owner to a large portion of the $33 billion treasure.

As Tony and Co went about their investigation of Lim, things went wrong and Angel an associate of Tony was abducted by gang 08 whom Tony suspected was hired by Lim.

The abduction of Angel presented Tony with a big headache. He could do a few things like whether to give in to the 08's demand and forfeit the $10 million fees Burt had offered his company or to carry on the investigation and at the same time try to save Angel.
Tony discussed the matter with TG and Maniam who had flown to Singapore from Ipoh. They had make a decision within the next two days or else........

Yamashita's Treasure Part 2

The final decision was to mount an operation to save Angel and then stopped Lim from disposing off the Yamashita's Treasure.

Tony using his decoding system in his mobile was able to tell where the text message was sent from. It was concluded the message was sent from a mobile phone in the vicinity of Kuala Lumpur (KL), the capital of Malaysia.
The next thing Tony needed to do was to find out where exactly was Angel held. This was a daunting task but it was not impossible.

When Tony, Maniam and TG arrived at KL, they immediately swung into action. First, they paid a visit to the address where the mobile phone used by Angel's captor was registered.
It was registered under the name of Ali bin Mohamed, a Malaysian.
It didn't take more than a few hours after their arrival at KL to apprehend Ali.
Ali told Tony his address was used by a friend to register the mobile phone. His name was Meng, a notorious 08 member.
Ali under immense interrogation disclosed to Tony where Meng usually hang out.

Tony and Co bundled the gagged Ali into their car and sped off to find Meng.

Meng was in the company of his 08 gang at a coffee shop when Tony, Maniam and TG arrived. A commotion broke out as Tony & co fought the parang-armed gangsters. The gangsters were no match for Tony and his colleagues (T & C). Besides, T & C were armed with automatic weapons. Two shots were fired by Tony as a warning and the 08 members scuttled away  and dispersed.
Meng was now in the custody of T & C.
Leaving with little choice and fearing for his life, Meng brought T & C to the place where Angel was kept. They freed Angel and and tied up Ali and Meng and left them in that dilapidated hut in the middle of nowhere.

As the rescue operation for Angel was going on, a chartered Boeing 747 was on its way to England. It was to land at a man made airport large enough to accommodate a lone B747 somewhere near Manchester.

Yamashita's Treasure Part 3 (the last episode)

The only two passengers inside the massive B747 were Lim and his bodyguard Harry. The loot was kept in the cabin, weighing almost a ton. They were made up of stolen gold bars, diamonds and other precious gems looted during world war 2 by the Japanese Army.

The B747 landed with a loud thud on a rough runway. It turned off the runway as soon as it could and parked at a tarmac nearby. The airport was deserted as it was a private one. There were no one except two big British looking guys waiting for the arrival of Lim and Harry.
A black Jaguar and a land rover were parked nearby.
As soon as Lim and Harry disembarked from the plane, the two guys approached them. They seemed to know one another rather well.
The four men carried the three vaults of the loot one by one and transferred them to the land rover. The moment the last vault was inside the land rover, they sped away, going at a hundred miles an hour along the highway.

Less than  a few minutes away, there was a road block. Not wanting to raise any suspicion, Lim and company stopped their vehicles and greeted the police officers. They were cleared to proceed on their journey.

Lim and his companions gave a sigh of relief. But as soon as their vehicles picked up speed, a convoy of police cars gave chase and cornered them.
The policemen aimed their guns at Lim and company and ordered them out of their vehicles. After a search of the land rover, Lim and his three other companions were arrested and handcuffed.
They were driven to a police station a few miles away and detained in a lock up.

Inspector Alex who was in charge of the operation rang Tony up. "Tony, I got all of them as well as the treasure", Inspector Alex told Tony over his mobile phone. "Hey Alex, thanks for your assistance", Tony gratefully replied. "Alex, could you passed your mobile to a guy called Harry please...yes the one with Lim, I would like to speak with him"...Tony asked Alex.

Alex handed over his phone to Harry and told him a gentleman wanted to speak with him.. "Hello its Harry here"...he said. " Good job done Harry!" Tony congratulated Harry.
Tony related to Inspector Alex the whole story of the shipment of the Yamashita's Treasure to England.

Next afternoon, Harry flew back to Singapore on a BA flight. Tony and Co was at Changi Airport to meet him.
Burt was there too. As for Lim and his two other British friends, they were charged for smuggling and possessing illegal goods.

A few days later, Burt flew to London and met his solicitors. There was a court case and to cut the story short, one third of the treasure was returned to Burt's family. The balance of the treasure was to be distributed among the British government and the other rightful owners' families in Singapore.

Back in Singapore Tony, Maniam, Angel,TG  and Harry opened a bottle of Dom to celebrate their success.
